Decarcerate Ohio
In an effort to unite organizations, individuals, and groups doing decarceration work across the state, the Transforming Justice Network hosts Zoom calls every Tuesday where we can connect and support one another. If you're interested in joining these calls, please Contact us.
Rapid Response Work
The Transforming Justice Network coordinated statewide rapid response work for COVID-19 & incarceration. This includes a media and advocacy toolkit created by the Jail Coalition and Ohio Immigrant Alliance to target decision makers in Ohio’s prisons system, which was distributed to the entire network.
Statewide Decarceration Car Rally
The Transforming Justice Newtork collaborated with OPJC to host the first Statewide Decarceration Car Rally in May 2020. This event received excellent media coverage, including from the NYT.
We also worked with OPJC to host the second Statehouse Decarceration Rally in the Summer of 2020.

Emergency Response Plan 2020
JustLeadership USA, the Ohio Transformation Fund, & the Transforming Justice Network launched a campaign for an Emergency Response Plan in August 2020, with a powerful digital townhall uplifting the wisdom and leadership of directly-impacted people in Ohio.
Learning Cohort and Campaign Planning Training
We launched the Learning Cohort and Campaign Planning Training with Ohio Voice in September 2020. Twenty-four community leaders are participating in the training.
